Our client, Canada’s largest provider of sustainable construction materials, is seeking a Plant Manager in Kenora, ON who is highly motivated to achieve goals. The plant manager will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the cement plant, overseeing the manufacturing of products, ensuring that deadlines are met and that quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of the cement plant.

Work closely with employees.

Monitor employees through performance reviews.

Establish and monitor key performance measures for inventory management, maintenance, performance, quality, and financial performance.

Coordinate, implement and maintain safe work practices.

Skills

Be a motivational leader and promote superior work performance.

Ability to provide complete, direct and actionable feedback.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions.

Proficient with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Education & Experience

Post secondary degree/diploma in construction management, engineering, or business.

5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a heavy industrial domain

Preference given to candidates with ready mix industry experience, or another plant environment comparable to heavy duty industrial where batching, delivery would take place.
