Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health & Safety Project Coordinator to join their team. The Senior Health & Safety Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety policies, procedures, and practices are implemented and adhered to in all of our projects. They will work closely with project managers and teams to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, project management experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain health and safety policies and procedures for all projects
Collaborate with project managers and teams to identify potential hazards and risks
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address safety concerns
Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions
Monitor safety performance and implement corrective actions as necessary
Prepare safety reports for management and regulatory agencies as required
Stay current with industry trends and developments in health and safety regulations and best practices
Manage the safety budget and provide regular reports on safety expenses
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
At least 5 years of experience in a health and safety role
Proven project management experience
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experienced in Critical Control Mgmt. (CCM)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) nice to have
