Position Overview:

Will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of seeds, fertilizer and chemicals to farms. Deliveries will often take place within the Durham and York Region, and sometimes in Peterborough. Driver must be comfortable with country driving (dirt roads, side roads to farms, tight spaces).

Details:

DZ Driver, 13 speed manual with minimum 3 years driving experience

Monday to Saturday

7am start

OT after 44 hours

Ideally start the week of May 1st

Driver needed until mid June

Dry van and flatbed (ropes and tarps when dealing with flatbed)

Minimal hand bombing

Job is weather dependent, if there is bad weather/rain day, the driver has the option to perform labour work in the yard or be sent home (drivers choice)

Driving with the flatbed and dry van can fluctuate. Sometimes driver will have to drive tandem flatbed with a 25ft trailer attached to the back of the flatbed.

Dry van is preloaded for the driver, driver of flatbed may need to help load the flatbed assisting the labourers

Driver should have good customer service as they will be customer facing, determinated, able to follow directions and instructions, ability to back up trucks, drive through country roads

Qualifications:

Counterbalance Forklift experience required, minimal experience needed.

Lift up to and including 50lbs

Minimum 3 years driving experience
